Position: Director of Technology

Qualifications: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Applicants must have at least four successful years of experience in information technology administration and leading technology integration, and/or equivalent combination of demonstrated experience and training, which provides the knowledge and experience. Previous experience supervising and evaluating staff required. Applicants are required to undergo and clear a criminal justice fingerprint and background check. We are looking for a positive, qualified leader with demonstrated aptitude for duties to be performed and capabilities to lead, support, manage, and facilitate the IT department and day-to-day operations of the technological systems of the district.

Description: Director of technology is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the technological systems of the district. Job goal is to provide ongoing management for the planning, acquisition, installation, and maintenance of technology to support improved student learning and increased efficiency of employees and district operations. Additional director of technology duties will include but not limited to the following areas of responsibilities: plan, coordinate, and manage the district’s technology functions, systems, and infrastructure; hire, train, schedule, manage, and evaluate IT department staff; complete staff trainings; protect data identified in Policy, Idaho Code, FERPA, and ensure contracts are compliant; community, staff, patron, and vendor relations; and other duties that may be assigned by the superintendent. This position requires the ability to be available after hours, including evenings and weekends for emergency situations. Salary: Salary shall be based upon the appropriate salary schedule approved by the Board of Trustees.
