Job Summary:Under direct supervision working with Student Aides, the Technology Support Technician will provide basic, ongoing technical support to Bishop Kelly Teachers, Students, Staff, Parents, and occasionally District Staff. Using basic technical knowledge this person would support IT initiatives and support building-level technology needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerform basic problem solving and assistance on various software applications and hardware systems.Provide individual instruction and/or training to users on existing, new, or updated technologies.Maintain and update helpdesk and knowledge base.Assist with tracking inventory levels.Perform data entry and maintenance of records such as project documents, user instructions, general reports, and/or system errors.Assist with the review, evaluation, and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions.Assist with research, development, and implementation of new technologies.Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, workstations, and/or other related equipment and devices.Support School users with network access.Process new users by inputting information into various systems.Working with a variety of software, hardware, and devices in a BYOD environment, such as Windows, Mac OS, Chromebooks, Android, iPhone, and other portable devices.Perform low-level computer repair, malware removal, and system maintenance.Work with student information system (Infinite Campus), learning management system (Schoology), and various other Education related software.Collaborate with School Administration on IT needs and support.Work with/ train work-study students in the IT department.REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSA High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree or higher, in a related field, preferred.Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Be able to understand and analyze problems.Comfortable with existing and new technology.Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Ability to work with minimal supervision and organize workload.PREFERED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEA wide range of computer systems, software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.Understand current development/trends in technologyRecord maintenance skillsTicket tracking applicationsExperience providing technical support on a variety of hardware, software, and operating systems is a plus.One or more years of public-facing experience is a plus.Industry-standard certification/s is a plus.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSSome standing, walking, moving, climbing, lifting (up to 40 lbs.), carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Length of Employment: This is a year-round position.Daily Schedule: 40 hours/week including occasional evenings and weekends.Salary: $32K - $38K DOE.Benefits: As a full-time employee of Bishop Kelly High School, employees will be provided a benefits package that includes retirement, insurance, and tuition benefits to all Catholic Schools in the valley.Please submit an application, cover letter, and resume to the Director of Human Resources, Amy Eisele, at aeisele@bk.org.
