Position Title: Substitute Instructional Assistants
Location: Various


Substitute Instructional Assistants are employed on an “as-needed/on-call” basis. Instructional Assistants may be asked to work in various roles including:


? Intervention Room Aide
? Special Ed-Title Aide
? Special Ed Aide: one-on-one
? Duty Assistant ? Computer Technologist
? Library Assistant
? Office Assistant
? Crossing Guar




  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


    Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

    Ability to: Communicate and work well with children and others; emulate appropriate behaviors for the purpose of providing an appropriate model for student observation and imitation; assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities; successfully pass a fingerprint/criminal justice clearance.


    Physical ability: Some positions may require the physical ability to: walk for prolonged periods, climbing/balancing, stooping, reaching/handling, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, talking/hearing conversations and other sounds, near/far visual acuity/depth perception.
  • Physical ability to (Crossing Guard): continuously stand and walk outdoors and work in inclement weather; continuously lift and reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally using a stop paddle; see potential problems from long distance and at night; possess sufficient vision, hearing and mobility to perform essential job functions.
