Education required

High school diploma, college level coursework in education or a related field preferred

Experience required

Previous aide or teaching experience preferred

Ability to instruct students at the direction of the regular teacher
Ability to follow lesson plans left by the regular teacher
Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
Works well with students and staff
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Maintain confidentiality of staff and students

Benefits

paid hourly on the 1⁄4 hr.
$12.00 per hour if the substitute has a Bachelor’s Degree.
$10.00 per hour if the substitute does not have a Bachelor’s Degree.
 Substitutes who work for the same certified teacher for 10 consecutive days or more will be paid $13.00 per hour if the substitute has a Bachelor’s Degree and $11.00 per hour if the substitute does not have a Bachelor’s Degree.
