Professional requirements:
Hold or be able to obtain a valid Idaho Teaching Credential
Endorsements: 7010 - K/8 All subjects and/or 7711 - World Language/Spanish (K-12)

Connor Academy is a K-8 charter school in its 15th year of operation. It has an enrollment of approximately 540 students and is located at 1295 Alpine Avenue in Chubbuck, Idaho.
Connor Academy is known for its academic rigor and safe learning environment. This is accomplished in a variety of ways including the purposeful use of direct instruction and an ongoing focus on key academic (effort, participation) and social (kindness, respect) behaviors.
Charter schools are public schools of choice, meaning that families choose them for their children. As public schools, charter schools are open to all children, do not require entrance exams, cannot charge tuition, and must participate in state testing and federal accountability programs.

• Must be able to communicate proficiently in English and Spanish, both verbal and written communication. In addition, the ability to speak and communicate clearly in lessons to students, as well as with peers, supervisors, patrons, and parents/guardians.

• Must have a strong background in instructional technology along with the ability to differentiate instruction to ensure all students learn.

• Establishes and maintains cooperative and quality relationships with others: contributes to the development of a positive school climate.

• Abide by the Code of Ethics for the Teaching Profession as established by the Idaho State Board of Education.

• Adhere to confidentiality with regard to student information.

• Familiarity with charter school concepts and philosophy.

• Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative protocols.

• Attends all staff meetings.

• Establish and maintain good work habits including organization and punctuality.

• Strives to maintain and improve professional competence and seeks out opportunities for professional growth.
