VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Salmon School District 291 is seeking a Spanish Teacher Starting the 2022-2023 school year (Approximately August 27, 2022 - June 7, 2023 - 157 days). The job location is at the Salmon Junior Senior High School. The Teacher will work four days a week, Monday through Thursday 7:45 am. to 4:30 pm., with one 4-hour teacher workday per month. The position is fully benefited to include health insurance, PERSI retirement, and many voluntary benefit options. Salary depends on years of experience and degree. JOB DESCRIPTION
•Teaching Jr/Sr High Students 4 Periods a day.•Quality instruction through lesson plan development and strategies.•Establishes effective classroom management and safety procedures as well as behavior expectations.•Supports Special Education students by implementing IEP and 504 plans.•Participates in district professional development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Idaho Teaching certificate, or ability to gain one, with Spanish endorsement.•Additional Endorsements preferred.•Able to pass background check. (Fingerprints and background check are at the expense of the applicant).•Strong background in curriculum and state standards.•Excellent public relations and communications skills.•Works well with students, staff and the public.•Strong background in the integration of technology with instruction.
