Sage International School – Boise - a public charter school - is seeking applicants to fill a FULL TIME Secondary French Teacher position for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Description:
Successful candidates will be certified to teach in public schools, either in Idaho or in another state with a willingness to transfer certification to Idaho OR be qualified to be certified under Idaho’s charter school law. The most successful candidates will:
Qualifications:
● Prior experience teaching in an International Baccalaureate school is preferred but not required.
● Demonstrate skill at developing and teaching a curriculum that will engage and challenge students to learn French.
● Additionally, the candidate should be able to work with colleagues to co-construct interdisciplinary units at each grade they teach French.
● Possess a demonstrated ability to engage students with challenging learning that results in their readiness for 11th Grade IB French SL/HL.
● Be knowledgeable and fluent in all aspects of the French language (reading, writing, listening, speaking, and cultural considerations)
● Demonstrate the IB Learner Profile attributes of Knowledgeable, Balanced, Thinker, Reflective, Communicator, Risk-Taker, Inquirer, Caring, Principled and Open-Minded
● Have a genuine love of working with children and an enduring interest in teaching, learning and student engagement
● Be positive, adaptable, and flexible, with good communication and collaboration skills. This position will require close coordination and collaboration with the secondary French teachers.
● Be familiar with and a believer in inquiry-based and project-based authentic learning.
● Be comfortable with integrating instructional technology into lessons when applicable.
● Be able and willing to work hard in a highly demanding program and to see differences and challenges as an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
