Sage International School – Boise - a public school of choice - is seeking applicants to fill a FULL TIME MYP Design and Computer Science Teacher position for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Description:
Successful candidates will be certified to teach in public schools, either in Idaho or in another state with a willingness to transfer certification to Idaho. The position of MYP Design and Computer Science teacher at Sage International School requires that the successful candidate:
Qualifications:
Develop and teach a curriculum for Year 4 & 5 of MYP Design (Grades 9/10).
Use the existing program or another curriculum chosen in collaboration with the academic leadership of the high school and Middle Years Programme to teach 9/10 Computer Science.
Collaborate with the secondary school Design teachers to ensure a coherent Design curriculum from Grade 6 to Grade 10.
Be knowledgeable and experienced in teaching Design or Design concepts, as well as Computer Science.
Demonstrate the IB Learner Profile attributes of Knowledgeable, Balanced, Thinker, Reflective, Communicator, Risk-Taker, Inquirer, Caring, Principled and Open-Minded.
Have a genuine love of working with high school aged children and an enduring interest in teaching, learning and student engagement.
Be a team player.
Be positive, respectful, adaptable, and flexible
Have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Be familiar with inquiry-based and project-based authentic learning.
Be comfortable with integrating instructional technology into lessons when applicable.
Be able and willing to work hard in a highly demanding program and to see differences and challenges as an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
