Qualifications: Idaho Endorsement as a School Psychologist

Nationally Certified School Psychologist preferred



Responsibilities:

To assess strengths and weaknesses of students referred for special education evaluation through appropriate testing and diagnostic practices.
To administer assessments and recommend services for students with special needs.
To help identify within the school setting all types of exceptional children.
To confer with and interpret assessment information for teachers and parents.
To consult on the special education needs of cognitively impaired, emotionally disturbed, and learning disabled students.
To prepare, submit, and maintain required reports on special education children and programs.
To conduct behavioral assessments and help develop behavior intervention plans for students in need of behavior modification.
To serve as a consultant on mental health topics.
To cooperate with community, health, and social welfare agencies.
To participate in special education meetings.
To assist with in-service training of school personnel.
To keep abreast of new developments in the field.


Salary Range: Based on Certificated Teacher Salary Schedule plus additional responsibility stipend
