Garden Valley School District #71 is seeking a School Nurse, PK-12. The position is located at Garden Valley School in Garden Valley Idaho. The Garden Valley School has a 4 day school week with Friday's reserved for teacher in-service, training, and individual student instruction. The position is fully benefited to include health insurance, PERSI retirement, and many voluntary benefit options. Salary depends on years of experience and degree.QUALIFICATIONSValid Idaho Pupil Personnel Services with a bachelor's degree and RN license. Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. Ability to work with students, staff, parents, and the public. Ability to use Windows, Microsoft, and Google programs/software. Consult with personnel, teachers, staff and parents regarding the health of students. Refer students with problems to appropriate resources as needed. Enter immunization records into Alma. Verify immunization records meet criteria. Ability to use IRIS to confirm immunizations of students. Contact parents regarding missing immunizations. Administer prescription medication as needed to students while at school. First Aid, CPR, and AED use. Documentation of student medical records in Alma. Give OTC medications after assessment of need. Schedule immunization and dental clinics annually/biannually. Provided service to all medical needs in the district. McKinney Vento Homeless Liaison, training, student and family services. Assist with community relations and potential for Community School Designation in the future. Substitute scheduling for staff, manage staff leave requests, confirm all positions are filled for certified and classified staff daily. Assist with crisis intervention. Seek out opportunities for personal growth. Maintain high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information. Perform all duties as assigned consistent with the responsibilities of a teacher and the Idaho Code of Ethics. Additional duties as requested by the superintendent.
