School Bus AttendantPosition PurposeUnder the direct supervision of a bus driver, assist with students on the bus.The position is for 5 hours/day. $15.00 per hourEssential Job FunctionsAssists students during transportation to and from school.Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures, and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students, including those with disabilities or other special needs. Perform any other related duties as assignedNote:    The above description is illustrative of tasks and responsibilities.  It is not meant to be all-inclusive for every task or responsibility.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form, and effective writing and verbal communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees, and others.Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students with needs.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, and others contacted in the course of work.Qualifications Profile:High School diploma or equivalent.At least 18 years of age,Ability to pass criminal history background check,Experience working with students with emotional/behavioral disorders helpful.Physically able to get up and down steps easily and move back and forth in the aisle to assist students.Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 40-50 lbs.Application Procedure:Apply Online at www.emmettschools.org/jobs
