Successful candidate will have the ability to successfully demonstrate, supervise, assess and teach students in the above-described area. This position is teaching science with the STEM component as an elective for 6th - 8th graders. It will be using the curriculum from Project Lead the Way - Gateway Program for Middle Schools and will have training provided.
Middle school is the perfect time for students to explore and learn that there is more than one way to reach a solution. PLTW Gateway provides engineering, biomedical, and computer science curriculum for middle school students that challenges, inspires, and offers schools variety and flexibility. Students get rigorous and relevant experiences through activity-, project-, and problem-based learning. They use industry-leading technology to solve problems while gaining skills in communication, collaboration, critical-thinking, and creativity.
Must meet Idaho certification -
Standard Elementary K-8 or Standard Secondary with science endorsement.
