Butte County School District #111 has an opening for a Special Education Teacher for the 2022-23 school year. The position involves curriculum and lesson planning, and implementation of special education programs and teaching methods, delivering content instruction, working with students in one-to-one and small group settings, and managing paraprofessionals; assists in development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); attends and participates in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, IEP meetings, and other meetings as required; monitors students’ progress in and outside special education room; evaluates student progress based on work output and observation, determines goals, objectives, and directions; works closely with other teachers to implement modifications and accommodations. Pay is dependent on the applicant’s career ladder placement. Benefits are included.

Academic Qualifications:
The qualified applicant needs to have, or be in the process of completing his or her Idaho Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Special Education. An Early Childhood endorsement is highly encouraged.

Supplemental Information: Arco, Idaho, is a terrific small town located an hour west of Idaho Falls. Arco offers a variety of outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, hiking, ATV trails, and other recreational outdoor activities. The district has 191 students in grades K-12 with approximately 22-25 students in each grade K-12. Arco is a fantastic, supportive community which enhances the students' educational opportunities.
