Vacancy Announcement:

Butte County School District #111 has an opening for an elementary teacher for the 2024-25 school year at Howe Elementary School. Howe Elementary is a remote school with a K-2 classroom. The position is supported with a paraprofessional. There is expected to be 4-7 students (3 kindergartners, three first graders, and 1 second grader). The position involves curriculum and lesson planning, delivering content instruction, working with students in whole class and small group settings, monitoring student progress, modifying instruction to address learning shortcomings, and setting learning goals with students. Pay is dependent on the applicant’s career ladder placement. Benefits are included.

This is currently a one-year position, but could become a yearly position.

Academic Qualifications:
The qualified applicant needs to have, or be in the process of completing his or her Idaho Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in K-8 Elementary, All Subjects.

Supplemental Information: Howe is a small ranching community in the Little Lost River valley, approximately 25 miles from Arco. Howe offers a variety of outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, hiking, ATV trails, and other recreational outdoor activities. Howe Elementary ranges between 4 and 10 students. The district has 191 students in grades K-12 with approximately 22-25 students in each grade K-12. This district is on a four-day school week.
