JOB TITLE:                          Registrar REPORT TO:                       Building Principal SUMMARY:                        Responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of student enrollment, attendance, and academic performance.  Serves as the primary point of contact for student enrollment, withdrawal, and transfer processes, and provides support for various administrative tasks related to student records and data management.  QUALIFICATIONS:          High school diploma or GED equivalent; previous experience preferred.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including enrollment, attendance, grades, transcripts, and other related information, using the school's student information system (SIS).Oversee the enrollment process, including verifying student eligibility, collecting required documentation, and entering data into the SIS.Process student withdrawals and transfers, ensuring that proper documentation is obtained and records are updated accordingly.Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to ensure accurate and timely recording of student attendance, grades, and other academic information.Provide support for student scheduling, including assisting with course selection, managing class rosters, and resolving scheduling conflicts.Assist with the preparation and distribution of report cards, progress reports, and other academic records to students, parents, and other stakeholders.Coordinate the collection, verification, and processing of student records for state and district reporting requirements, including maintaining confidentiality and security of student data.Serve as the main point of contact for student records inquiries from parents, students, staff, and external agencies, providing prompt and courteous assistance.Collaborate with other school and district staff to resolve student record discrepancies, issues, and inquiries in a timely and effective manner.Participate in school and district meetings, trainings, and professional development related to student records, data management, and compliance with state and district regulations.Interacts with students, parents and staff in a positive, friendly and encouraging manner.Acts ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.Knows and follows school policy and chain of command.Will, with the supervising teacher, develop, maintain and document a professional growth plan in accordance with the State Department of Education Standard Based Principles.Performs such duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education required

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Experience required

Previous experience preferred.
