Our mission is to create well educated respectful citizen leaders.Vision Charter School is looking for a dynamic full time teacher who can successfully engage High School students in a range of courses including HS Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science and other courses based on the employees interests & endorsements which could include but not limited to Geology, Engineering, Computer Science, Zoology, Astronomy, STEM, or other potential options/electives. In addition to six classes per day, the teacher will have a twenty minute advisory class daily.Must hold or be able to hold an Idaho Teaching Certificate.Preference given to applicants with a natural science endorsement or ability to acquire a natural science endorsement.Preference given to applicants who have a BA in Science with five years of experience teaching high school science courses OR a Masters in Science or Teaching Science.Successful Candidates may also be considered if they have a physical science endorsement with a willingness to pursue a natural science endorsement or earth and space science endorsement through an alternate route within the first year of employment. Additionally, industry experience is a plus.Vision Charter salary schedule ranges from $49,618 per year to $81,000.Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science are taught at the Dual Credit level providing the successful applicant with additional compensation from a partner college or university for each student taking & successfully completing the course. This requires the successful applicant being qualified and accepted by the university to teach the class(es).Insurance Benefits, PERSI Retirement, Life Insurance, and Ten Sick Days per year, 2 personal days, $1500 per year classroom budget, science lab budget, $500 per year and two professional days per year for Professional Development.The school calendar is 145 days with 4 day week (except the second week of school which is a five day week). Teacher contracts are for 165.5 days. Teacher daily on campus hours are 7:45-3:45PM.
