POSITION: Middle School Part-time IT Classroom Teacher
LOCATION: Eagle, Idaho
JOB TYPE: 2023-2024 School Year, Part-Time Contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable IT professional to join our middle school as a part-time IT teacher. As an IT teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in various aspects of information technology. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about technology and education, who can bring real-world expertise to the classroom. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of IT concepts, and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Prior teaching experience or experience working with high school students is preferred.
Strong knowledge of IT fundamentals, including hardware, software, networking, programming languages, and data management.
Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms used for teaching IT concepts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young minds.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to encourage critical thinking among students.
Organizational skills to plan and manage lesson materials, assignments, and assessments effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and deliver lessons on various IT topics to high school students, ensuring alignment with curriculum guidelines.
Teach fundamental IT concepts such as computer hardware, software, networking, programming languages, and data management.
Promote active learning through interactive teaching methods, discussions, and practical exercises.
Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity among students by incorporating real-world examples and projects.
Provide guidance and support to students in their individual IT projects and assignments.
Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback on their progress.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Stay updated with the latest developments in the IT field and integrate relevant technology trends into the curriculum.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
