Title: High School Activities Director
Supervisor: Jr/Sr High School Principal

Melba High School is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to lead a State leading Athletic and Activities Program. Applicants must have a strong belief in the value of an Athletic/Activities Program to the Educational Program in the School. They must value a culture of high expectations for behavior and success. This is a half-time position that will be paired with a teaching assignment.

Job Summary:
Direct and manage the overall program of Athletics/Activities for the Jr/Sr High School. Provide students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities and ensure compliance with all state and district requirements. Plan activities to achieve district, region, and state recognition.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Idaho teaching certificate.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to manage budget and personnel.
Ability to implement policy and procedures.
Ability to interpret data
Excellent organizational skills
Models fair play and respect
Ability to maintain a positive environment and high standards of conduct for athletes
Treats all athletes fairly and equally
Ability to work under pressures and deadlines
Maintain confidentiality of staff and students
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.

Experience:
Three years teaching and coaching preferred.
