Basin School District is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and dedicated Secondary Math Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching math courses to students in grades 7-12, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and helping students achieve their academic goals.
Education required
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related fieldIdaho State Teaching Certification in Mathematics or the ability to obtain one
Skills required
Key Responsibilities:Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging math lessons that align with the Idaho state standards and the district's curriculum for grades 7-12Create and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning, maintain accurate records of student progress, and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and administrationDevelop and implement individualized instruction and interventions to support students' diverse learning needs and stylesMaintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning, respect, and student engagementCollaborate with other math teachers and staff members to create interdisciplinary activities and projectsParticipate in professional development activities, attend meetings, and serve on school and district committees as requiredRequirements:Strong knowledge of the Idaho state standards for mathematics and experience implementing them in the classroomExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, parents, and community members
