To provide student with a daily and ongoing instructional program that will deliver the best possible academic knowledge and skills. To help students develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education according to the guidelines outlined in each student's IEP.
Bachelors Degree from accredited institution
Successful completion of student teaching experience
Experience preferred but not required
Exceptional Child Endorsement
Strong background in teaching methods, developmentally appropriate classroom activities and effective classroom management.
Strong background in behavior management, curriculum, and writing and implementing IEP plans
Strong background in federal and state law, administrative rules and Board policy
Knowledge of the diverse needs of children with disabilities and classroom practices
Ability to instruct students one-on-one and small group situations
Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
Glenns Ferry School District follows the State Department of Education Career Ladder schedule
