Weiser School District is accepting applications for the position of Lead Teacher for Indianhead Academy Alternative High School. An administrative certification is not required for this position.

**The Lead Teacher will have responsibility for:**

• Carrying out the administrative duties associated with Indianhead Academy in accordance with federal laws, Idaho Code, State Board of Education Rules, and the policies of the Weiser School District

• Recruiting and screening eligible students for enrollment

• Building and maintaining positive relationships and communications with students and their families

• Supporting and overseeing the mission of Indianhead Academy

• Coordinating students services as required (Title 1, LEP, Special Education)

• Recruiting and supervising certified and classified staff (an administrative credential is NOT required)

• Setting up and supervising the Indianhead Academy school calendar, curriculum, technology, textbooks, supplies, and other programming needs

• Creating and managing (in cooperation with the Superintendent) an annual budget

• Setting up and supervising field trips and college visits

• Completing all federal, state, and district reports including the annual application for program approval

• Planning and conducting graduation and other ceremonial duties associated with Indianhead Academy

• Coordinating food service, transportation, maintenance and other ancillary services that are required of the program

• Cleaning and maintaining the facility (Slocum Hall)

• Maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship with National Oldtime Fiddlers Inc. (owners of Slocum Hall)

• The position of Indianhead Academy Lead Teacher contract will be equal to the regular teaching contract (186 days).
