JOB LOCATION NOTICE: This position is for our Elevate Academy North school located in Post Falls Idaho.
Job Title: Lead Building Administrator
Reports to: CEO or designee
JOB SUMMARY:
He or she is responsible for the effective operation of the school and implementation of the Elevate Academy Charter, general administration of all instructional, business, or other operations of the schools. She or he will administer and supervise the school and its employees, lead development of educational program improvement, foster a culture of positive, engaged learners, and serve as a strong advocate for the school’s 6 core tenants.
She or he will work closely with the teaching staff and Eagles nest staff to continue the development of Elevate's innovative mastery based curriculum. She/he will design and implement professional development for effective mastery based curriculum implementation as well as all of the other philosophies and core tenants that are central to Elevate Academy.
She/he will work collaboratively with the Eagles Nest Team, Office staff, Teachers, and Classified Staff to provide consistent and effective school leadership for Elevate Academy Charter School.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Educational Program Management
2. Embody, advocate for, and execute on the mission, vision and strategic direction of Elevate Charter School.
3. Outreach to community and school district about our model and develop support systems
4. Foster teacher leadership and shared decision making.
5. Facilitate teacher leadership for professional development, staff/teacher meetings, and instructional planning meetings.
6. Ensure educational and regulatory compliance at all governmental levels including federal programs and special education.
7. Explain and clarify information received from various agencies including Idaho Department of Education, State Board of Education, and Charter School Commission.
8. In conjunction with staff, develop and implement discipline policies.
9. Operations Management/Supervision
10. Develop school office procedures, methods and practice.
11. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, financial, record keeping, and employment.
12. Responsible for overall vendor management including, but not limited to payroll, facilities, contractors.
13. Attend and participate in Elevate Board meetings and committee meetings as needed.
14. Manage recruitment and selection of staff.
15. Supervise improvement of teaching by annually reviewing goals and objectives, observing instruction, and conferencing with teachers, in collaboration with staff, the Board of Directors, and representational parent input.
16. Supervise staff and foster positive, collaborative working relationships.
17. Establish and maintain professional and cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders: parents, students, staff, neighbors, and partners.
18. Maintain a visible and accessible presence to the school community.
19. Advocate for Elevate in the greater community and with the media.
20. Communicate issues, concerns, and needs to the Board of Directors.
21. Represent Elevate at district and county administrative meetings and other meetings as requested by the Board of Directors.
22. Maintain frequent and regular communications with families through a newsletter, school website, one-on-one meetings, etc. as appropriate.
23. Fiscal Management
24. Develop an annual budget. Manage budgets and make recommendations to the Elevate Board.
25. Work with the Eagles Nest team to set economic objectives, financial and accounting policies, and other fiscal policies and practices as necessary.
26. Provide financial reports to the Board, the County, and other agencies as mandated by law.
27. The Director will perform other duties as required.
28. Prepares related reports and records as required by the school division, local, state, or federal government.
