Educational Assistant-Kindergarten
Education Assistant -Must be highly qualified by: (1) Completed 2 years of college accumulating 32 hours of academic credit, with an Associate's degree, -or- (2) Pass a Praxis paraeducator assessment.
Job Duties: Listed but not limited to: (A) Work with classroom teacher to develop specific programs to help with the instruction of below grade level students. (B) Work individually and with small groups of students in an instructional capacity in language arts, reading, and. math. (C) Carry out instructional programs designed by the teacher. (D) Participate in meetings, training, and conferences when appropriate. (E) Maintain necessary records to comply with measuring of student's progress. (F) Supervise children in hallway, cafe, playground, and all areas of the school setting. (G) Assist in handling crisis problems and behavior management. (H) Perform such other duties as assigned.
