Position Details:
Richard McKenna Charter Schools is seeking a school leader for our K-8 campus in Mountain Home, ID. The school is a Montessori and Project-based Learning school.
This opening is available now and until the position is filled with the best and qualified candidate and will currently serve approximately 220 students. At our K-8 school the staff share a collective dedication to fostering an environment for inclusion and learning. Our passion is preparing students to be academically and socio-emotionally ready for sustained success in a global economy.
The ideal School Leader who leads our K-8 school is a Montessori/Project-based educator with an ability to utilize data for decision making, someone who is willing to do anything that they would ask someone else to do, is a servant leader, a quality communicator, and fully invests in staff, students, and families to maintain a positive school culture.
Education required
MA in Educational Leadership
Experience required
5 years teaching experience
Montessori/Project-based Learning - helpful, but not necessary
Skills required
• Knowledge and skills working with students who might have additional challenges beyond education.
• Effective use of technology as a means of analyzing academic achievement data and as a tool to aid in communications with stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication using proper grammar and vocabulary.
• Exemplary work habits verified by previous employers.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
