Reports To Reports to Rimrock Principal works closely with building principals and teachers on a regular basis. Evaluation This position is evaluated by the Rimrock Principal. Job assist students in meeting Idaho Content Standards (https://www.sde.idaho.gov/academic/shared/humanities/music/04MusicTraditionalandEmergingEnsemblesStandards.pdf) and indicate mastery of these standards via formative assessment. Job Responsibilities Hold K5 classes a t Bruneau Elementary every other morning. Hold K5 classes at Grand View Elementary every other morning. Hold 6-12 classes at Rimrock Jr/Sr High every afternoon. Develops and maintains a classroom environment based on Love and Logic principles. Plans and prepares, as it relates to daily lessons for music class. Participates in regular PLC’s (Professional Learning Community) with Rimrock staff, for the purpose of analyzing formative assessment data in the context of summative student achievement projections. Consistently focuses on building a strong classroom culture and climate, using Positive Behavior Supports. Communicates frequently with Rimrock parents, regarding classroom assignments, activities, homework an d grades. Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records & grades in puts them regularly into PowerSchool. Participates in education related activities outside the instructional day as required; staff meetings, parent meetings, special , professional development, etc. Makes themselves available to students a nd parents for additional discussions, emails and conferences as needed. Promotes a strong focus on collaborative relationships with peers and a focus on student achievement in the classroom. Implements modifications/accommodations as specified in Individual Education Plans. Attends IEP meetings and collaborate s with special education teachers and teams as needed/required. Strictly adheres to The Code of Ethics of the Ida ho Teaching Profession adopted by the State Board of Education (Idaho Code 331208).Informs immediate supervisor of potential problems in the school setting and student/parent relationships.
