About this job

Job description:
Our school supports Agriculture education K-12. We are currently seeing a candidate that is interested in developing a K-12 program of agriculture education.

At the core of our entire program is our STEM-focused Project-based Learning. All of our teachers help to deliver content focused on a Driving Question.

Programs being implemented within our K-8 Ag classes include content from the Idaho Farm Bureau Foundation, 4-H, Ag in the Classroom, and other sources. Our 9-12 Ag classes include CASE agriculture curriculum, integrating scientific probeware, drones, etc.

Pi STEM Learning Environment:Teaching at Pi STEM is unlike teaching in a traditional environment. By design, our school is made up of small communities where every student is known. Our teachers know the individual strengths and growth areas for each student. We empower students to own their learning.

Pi STEM teachers do not see themselves as disseminators of knowledge but instead as facilitators and coaches to their students. When teachers are planning their lessons they consider not only how students are integrating content information into their projects but also how they are applying cognitive skills (e.g. hypothesizing) that stretch across all content areas and the habits of success (e.g. perseverance) that allow them to prepare for the world beyond the classroom.

We are committed to continual growth at Pi STEM. We Prioritize developing leaders from within and are dedicated to providing professional development opportunities built into the academic year. We equip teachers with the tools necessary to improve their practice and tackle challenging issues.
