The Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrrections, St. Anthony is now hiring for a full-time Instructor Specialist. This position is located in the facilities fully accredited special purpose school, Juniper Hills.The minimum starting rate for this position is $53,767.01. New hires can join the Agency at a higher rate/tier dependent upon relevant teaching experience and professional endorsement.This is a professional teaching position in a year-round school. The Instructor Specialist teaches classes, supervising students 10 to 20 years old who typically have not achieved their educational potential in previous school settings. Implements, and evaluates specialized educational programs. Provides individual and group instruction in academic or vocational areas to youth in a rehabilitation/treatment setting. Provides individualized instruction using a differentiated approach and positive behavior supports. Develops individualized educational objectives; plans and outlines specific coursework. Collaborates with the treatment team regarding student progress and educational treatment goals. Encourages and motivates students in developing self-esteem and academic competencies. Instructs in living skills, fosters protection of individual rights, and ensures student safety and positive interactions. Education required

Idaho Standard Exceptional Child (special education grades K-12) Credential, OR Standard Secondary (specific subjects 6-12 or K-12 in some areas) Credential, OR Standard Elementary (All Subjects K-8) Credential; OR Current Idaho CTE Certification; OR equivalent from out of state
