The Idaho Department of Correction has a vacancy for an Instructor, at the Idaho Correctional Institution - Orofino, in Orofino, Idaho. Applicants must be willing to work in a Correctional environment and the incumbent will be required to work in direct contact with residents both one-on-one and in a group setting. The desirable candidate should have experience working with adult learners and knowledge of GED curriculum.Responsibilities:• Working with residents in a state correctional facility towards completion of college and career readiness standards, computer applications, and other post-secondary learning opportunities• Provides instructions and evaluate student's progress• Monitor student's behavior to maintain discipline and ensure safety and security of fellow students, self, staff, equipment, and materials• Maintain student records and prepare conduct reports

Education required

Candidates must be eligible for an Idaho Standard Secondary Education Certificate; OR eligible for an Occupational Specialist Certificate; OR have a Bachelor's degree and two years experience teaching individuals in a group setting
