The primary function of an employee in this position is to perform skilled and semi-skilled duties related to building and grounds maintenance. Duties include light construction, maintaining lawns and landscaping, sprinkler systems, athletic fields, driveways, and parking lots, and performing some custodial duties. This position regularly performs tasks wherever needed to maintain effective and efficient facilities and operations. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Buildings and Grounds. The principal duties of this class are performed in indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes performing physically demanding and hazardous duties associated with chemicals and heavy objects, and dealing with adverse weather conditions.

Length of Employment: This is a year-round position.

Daily Schedule: Daytime Monday through Friday approximately 40 HRS/ week. Overtime may be necessary.

Salary: $15.00-$18.00/ Hour DOE.
