The Emmett Independent School District 221 is actively seeking an assistant Principal for Emmett High School. We are looking for and Instrutional Leader that wants to make a difference in every student's life. Assistant PrincipalJOB SUMMARY: To uphold the following 6 standards for school leadership:Standard 1: A school administrator is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared and supported by the school community. Standard 2: a school administrator is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by advocating, nurturing, and sustaining a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth. Standard 3: A school administrator is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by ensuring management of the organization, operations, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment. Standard 4: A school administrator is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by collaborating with families and community member, responding to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilizing community resources. Standard 5: A school administrator is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by acting with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner. Standard 6: A school administrator is an educational leader who promotes the cusses of all students by understanding, responding to, and influencing the larger political, social, economic, legal, and cultural context. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist the principal in the overall administration of the school.Serves as the principal in the absence of the regular principal.Cooperates in the conducting of safety inspections and safety drill practice activities.Assists with coordinating transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services.Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance including investigative follow-up actions and communication with parents.Assures that proper discipline procedures are consistently enforced; deals with special cases as necessary; communicates with parents as necessary.Serves with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives. Assists principal with teacher evaluation and supervision.Assists principal with attendance to IEP meetings.Serves on various committees as assigned by the building principal. Assists principal, Athletic Director, and other staff with after-hours sports, events, and activities.Works closely with local law enforcement by assisting the School Resource Officer.Performs such record-keeping functions as the principal may directKnows and follows school policy and the chain of command.Acts ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.Performs such school-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
