Start Date: August 10, 2021

Compensation: This role is paid based on years of experience and highest level of education in
alignment with the Idaho State Teacher Career Ladder. State retirement benefits (PERSI) and
medical benefits included.

About Future Public School

Future Public School is a public charter school located in Garden City currently serving students
(called “engineers”) in grades K-6th grade. Future equips engineers with the knowledge, skills
and character to succeed in college and the future world. We serve a diverse population of
students and create an environment in which all engineers are welcomed, affirmed, and cared
for, receiving the individual services and help they need.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional and Classroom Responsibilities
●Approach teaching and learning with the mindset of an innovator and entrepreneur
●Plan toward and provide excellent instruction as we pursue recognition as a top school
in Idaho
●Regularly use data to inform instructional planning
●Provide differentiated learning opportunities for students
●Receive and implement feedback and coaching from school leaders and peers
●Collaborate with teammates to increase student engagement and achievement
●Reflect on progress and seek out professional resources to continuously improve
●Provide support of 504’s, Behavior Plans, and Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s)

School-wide Responsibilities
●Engage in conversations and professional development around diversity, equity, and
inclusiveness
●Build relationships with other staff, students, and families
●Attend staff collaborative planning meetings
●Participate in the life and activity of the school
●Demonstrate flexibility, self-direction and professionalism
●Contribute to our community culture of joy, honor, bravery, craftsmanship,, and wonder

Responsibilities to Families

●Place high-value on the home knowledge and experience of students and families
●Motivate and cultivate a culture of joy and achievement
●Willingness to learn and implement restorative justice practices
●Engage with family members regularly and participate in home visits, phone calls, and
school-based meetings with families as needed
●Maintain proactive communication with families

Role Qualifications

●Valid Teaching Certificate
●A team player that gets along with others and demonstrates flexibility, common sense,
and good judgment.
●Must be organized with the ability to multitask, be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and have excellent communication skills.
●Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing education and continuing professional
development.
