VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Clark County School District #161 is seeking qualified candidates for an Elementary Teacher-Grade4 for the 2024-2025 School Year starting January 6, 2025. The Teacher will be part of a team that works with a total of 50-60 students in Lindy Ross Elementary School. The teacher will work approximately four days a week, M-TH 7:30 to 4:30, with an occasional workday or in-service on a Friday. This is a fully benefited position to include health insurance, PERSI retirement, and many voluntary benefit options.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job location is at the Lindy Ross Elementary School, 526 S. Oakley St., Dubois Idaho
Teach students in 4th grade-possible movement to other grades in upcoming years.
Develops strategies for maintaining a classroom environment conductive to effective learning.
Utilizes effective teaching methods and employs a variety of instructional techniques appropriate to the maturity, interest, and needs of the students.
Quality instruction through lesson plan development and strategies.
Supports Special Education students by implementing IEP and 504 plans.
Participates in district professional development activities.

QUALIFICATIONS: Idaho Teaching certificate, or ability to gain one,with K-8 endorsement(multiple endorsements a plus).
Able to pass background check. (Fingerprints and background check are at the expense of the applicant).
Strong background in curriculum and state standards.
Excellent public relations and communications skills.
Works well with students, staff and the public.
Strong background in the integration of technology with instruction.
Familiarity with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) preferred.
Familiarity of Response to Intervention (RTI) processes.
