Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Counselor to join our team. As a School Counselor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of our students. This position aligns with the standards set forth by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), emphasizing comprehensive school counseling programs that promote student success.


Responsibilities:


Implement a comprehensive school counseling program that aligns with ASCA National Model standards.
Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, social, and emotional needs.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and community stakeholders to support student success.
Conduct assessments and utilize data to identify student needs and develop appropriate interventions.
Advocate for equity, access, and success for all students, including those from diverse backgrounds.
Deliver classroom guidance lessons on topics such as social-emotional skills, academic success strategies, and career exploration.
Participate in crisis intervention and provide support to students experiencing personal or academic challenges.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Engage in professional development activities to stay current on best practices in school counseling.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in School Counseling or related field from an accredited institution- Master's degree preferred.
State certification or licensure as a school counselor (if applicable).
Experience working in a school setting, preferably as a counselor or related role is preferred.
Knowledge of the ASCA National Model and proficiency in implementing comprehensive school counseling programs.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and families.
Commitment to advocating for the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students.
Ethical and professional conduct in accordance with ASCA and state guidelines.
