We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Elementary STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Teacher with a strong background in 3D printing, virtual reality, coding, computer science, robotics, crosscutting concepts, engineering design process, science and engineering practices, project-based learning, and a passion for education. As an Elementary STEM Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring young students to explore and excel in the fields of STEM through hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences.If you are looking for a flexible, adaptive position where you can make a difference in a rural community, this is the position for you. Education required

Valid teaching certification/license in elementary education or a related field.

Job Description:Skills and Responsibilities:Implement a comprehensive and progressive STEM curriculum that incorporates 3D printing, virtual reality, coding, computer science, robotics, and other emerging technologies.Design and facilitate engaging lessons that integrate cross-cutting concepts and align with the engineering design process and science and engineering practices.Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.Utilize project-based learning strategies to foster collaborative and inquiry-based experiences for students.Integrate innovative tools, resources, and technologies into the STEM curriculum to enhance student engagement and understanding.Provide guidance and support to students as they explore and apply coding and computer science concepts.Promote the use of robotics and engineering principles to develop hands-on problem-solving skills.Foster connections between STEM concepts and real-world applications to deepen students' understanding and relevance.Collaborate with colleagues to integrate STEM into other subject areas, such as language arts, social studies, and mathematics.Stay updated on the latest advancements in STEM education and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the curriculum and teaching practices.Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and promotes respect, teamwork, and a growth mindset.

Benefits

The Basin School District uses the state salary schedule to calculate base salaries. The salary range is $40,369 – $58,707 depending on education and experience. Leadership stipends and coaching assignments may be available for additional pay.
