Since its founding in 1992, Foothills has been committed to providing a progressive learning environment that suits the developmental learning needs of children and adolescents. A project-based program integrated with visual and performing arts helps students develop independent perspectives, strong academic competencies, social-emotional skills, and a sense of civic responsibility. There is an expectation of continuous growth and improvement for all employees and support for professional development inside and outside the school.**Position DescriptionFoothills School seeks Early Care (M-F 7:30am-8:15am) and After Care (M-F 3:00pm-5:45pm) teachers to supervise students before and after school (Pre-K-6th grade) during the 2021-2022 school year. These positions can be staffed by two separate people or could be combined and staffed by one individual. The positions require candidates who are eager and excited about working with students in a multi-age before and after-school setting. Both positions are responsible for providing activities and supervision of children. After Care also includes walking children to the park, safely engaging with them in play, passing out a snack, and overseeing the dismissal of these students at the end of their day. The position requires strict adherence to COVID-19 related protocols including sanitization, social distancing, and mask-wearing. The positions begin August 16, 2021 and run through May 27, 2022.**ResponsibilitiesKeep a record of children that are in Early Care, check students in with teachers; check students into After Care and out to their parents/guardians at the end of the dayEnsure the safety of students in accordance with school policiesStrictly adhere to COVID-19 related protocols including sanitization, social distancing, and mask-wearingProvide activities and engage with students that stay after schoolFacilitate an after-school snack**Professional BackgroundDemonstrate the ability to design activities to meet a wide range of ages and needsMaintain a current Boise city child care license (note, it may be that we staff separate groups of early and aftercare.
