Job Title: District Bookkeeper
Position Close Date: 10/4/2022
Location: Nampa, ID
Salary Range: $17.00 - $20.00/hr - Dependent on Experience
Work Contract: 24 hrs/week

Position Summary
The district bookkeeper will prepare and process payroll, oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, and assist with our annual audit. The district bookkeeper will manage the financial processing of employee benefits including insurance and retirement, reconciliation with payroll, and reporting.

Minimum Requirements
●Extensive experience as a bookkeeper/payroll clerk with a school district, or similar agency
●Ability to communicate effectively with all school personnel
●Valid Idaho driver’s license
●Required criminal history background check, physical, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Major responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
●Preparing monthly payroll and benefits checks
●Processing all receivables and payables in a timely manner
●Producing monthly reports for the school board meetings
●Maintaining and overseeing all bank accounts including school credit cards, and reporting banking errors to CFO
●Managing cash, including collections and disbursements, fundraising and school trips

Skills and Qualifications
An ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate the following and/or have experience with:
●Punctual, dependable, and must have effective communication skills
●Good working knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, Quicken and School Budget Software – preferably 2M
●Able to work in a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines
●Strong verbal and oral communication skills
●Self-motivated and strong analytical skills
●Attention to detail, prioritization skills and time management
●Quick learner with a positive attitude
●Database experience and strong expertise in financial concepts, practices, and procedures
●Commitment to the charter school movement and the mission and vision of the school

Experience required

Extensive experience as a bookkeeper/payroll clerk with a school district, or similar agency
