DATA ENTRY MANAGER

DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a dependable, self-motivated person to manage our student information system and learning systems. Job will require learning and maintaining our student information system that is used to track student enrollment, courses, and attendance, and report that information to the state. Keeping the various student learning systems rostered and maintained. Provide the necessary support and training for these systems to admins and teachers. Assist the technology director with tasks necessary to run the everyday operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma, (preference may be given to applicants with relevant college education, but not required)
Have a dependable, friendly personality and work well with others
Ability to quickly resolve issues and find answers through knowledge and the given support resources
Be able to communicate effectively between product support people and our end-users
Able to communicate effectively with people who have varying degrees of knowledge about computers
Able to effectively communicate verbally in one-on-one, small groups, and large group situations
Strong office skill set, with proficiency in Windows and Excel
Ability to work with data imports and exports to and from different systems and ensure data privacy and security
Valid driver’s license and access to a suitable vehicle for transportation to all School district sites (must provide own transportation, working on-site most of the time)
Formal training or relevant experience in providing computing support in an educational environment preferred
General knowledge of operating systems, software, and hardware used by the district preferred
Able to read and comprehend technical instructions and information
Able to write simple correspondence as well as technical correspondence
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Able to work under deadlines
Maintain confidentiality of staff and students

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY TO

Technology Director, Superintendent and Building Principals

EVALUATION

The performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the technology director and building principal in conformance with federal and state law, administrative rules, and Board policy.

COMPENSATION

$15.00 to $20.00 per hour

Pay rate based on experience and skills. Position qualifies for benefits which include health, dental, vision and life insurance; PERSI retirement, paid leave as well as access to optional ancillary insurance and retirement products.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

This position shall be considered in all respects “employment at will”. The “employment period” and other descriptions and terms set forth in this job description shall not create a property right for the employee. These are set forth only to advise the employee of when and what type of services will be required by the district so long as the employment continues. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
