The Castleford School District is looking for a full-time custodian/maintenance position. The successful candidate will perform routine custodial work in the school facilities and on the school grounds as required. This will include, but is not limited to, sweeping/mopping all floors, vacuuming carpeted floors, dusting, wiping off, and/or cleaning of surfaces including whiteboards, doors, walls, and windows. Cleans and sanitizes all restrooms daily, maintains supply levels of toilet paper, paper towels, and soap/hand sanitizer in restrooms, emptying and transporting bagged garbage to outside waste receptacles, clean light fixtures, and maintain a sufficient inventory of cleaning supplies. Assists in moving and setting up furniture and equipment, sets up for and breaks down after school events, cleaning after sporting events, mowing and watering all lawns and weed/garbage control in all outside areas. Complete snow removal before and during school, assists unload supplies from delivery trucks as needed, performs all work duties and activities in accordance with District policies and job description, and performs other related duties as required.

Applicant must be able to follow written directions,oral instructions, be able to lift up to 50 pounds,give sufficient attention to concentrate on tasks and to return to and complete tasks when distracted. Working conditions may require the applicant to work in inclement weather conditions. All work is performed under the direction of the Superintendent and/or building principal.
