The Bliss School District is seeking a full-time District Clerk who will fulfill the role of Clerk to the Board of Trustees and serve as an Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent/Business Manager. As a Clerk to the Board of Trustees and Administrative Assistant, the selected candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of the Bliss School District.
The ideal applicant should possess a strong accounting background, with specific expertise in school district-related practices. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate proficiency in maintaining a comprehensive system for recording operating expenses, providing assistance to the Superintendent/Business Manager in developing and monitoring the district's budget.
Furthermore, the applicant should demonstrate proficiency in utilizing word processors and spreadsheets to perform payroll and accounting procedures; ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll; and provide clear and prompt information to employees regarding payroll, insurance, and retirement matters. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are imperative while working collaboratively with staff and community members.
The successful applicant will be a self-starter, capable of working independently, and adept at multitasking. The willingness to pursue necessary training to maintain and enhance skills is highly valued.
As the Clerk of the Board, the selected candidate will be expected to attend all board meetings, record minutes, and assist in maintaining up-to-date policies.

Education required
