The Executive Director invites qualified and interested candidates to apply for the position of Chief Operating Officer.
Idaho Arts Charter School is an independent district split into two campuses that are located within 2 miles of each other.
We serve over 1,200 students in grades K-12, with nearly 50% of our students qualifying for free or reduced lunch.

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Chief Operating Officer will hold a critical senior leadership position in the district and will manage the following
functional areas: Finance, Facilities and Human Resources.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or at least 6-8 years of experience working within the
administrative positions of a school; including, but are not limited to:
o Student Information Systems, preferably PowerSchool
o Budgeting Programs, preferably 2M and Quicken
o Idaho State Reporting systems
o Vendor relations and scheduling
o Human Resources including Teacher Certifications
 Experience in a supervisory or management role that included performing evaluations on employees
 A valid driver’s license as well as current insurance and vehicle with valid registration
 Required criminal history background check, physical, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Major responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
 Assist the Executive Director in planning and implementing substantial improvements to operational functions,
including facilities, human resources, payables, purchasing, payroll, and finance
 Identify, develop, and manage teams to implement operational process improvements to ensure high
organizational efficiency and effectiveness of the district’s central office functions to better serve the schools and
students
 Lead the District in transitioning into a variable-cost organization and reducing its fixed costs and liabilities
 Work in partnership with the finance team to implement tight financial controls to reduce wasteful spending and
align district resources to the organizational priorities
 Provide hands-on management to direct reports, including providing regular feedback, coaching and direct support
to ensure all team members are operating at a high level
 Ensure that all operational staff provide responsive, courteous, and helpful customer service to the schools, staff
and other stakeholders they serve
 Take on other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director.

goals
 Strong problem-solving and project management skills - strong organizational skills, attention to detail
 Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications , Google Workspace, and basic Web browsers and searches
 Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and take initiative

SALARY RANGE
 $80,000 - $100,000 – Dependent on experience and/or commensurate skills
