The Castleford School District is looking for a full-time business manager/clerk for the 2023/2024 school year. The successful candidate plans and manages the business affairs of the district in compliance with instruction of the Superintendent, School Board policies, pertinent laws, and state/federal regulations. The Business Manager is the District's leading support staff professional and works to assist the Superintendent and School Board in ensuring that the District meet their educational goals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing professional support to enhance operation effectiveness in order to support the staff in achieving improved standards of learning and achievement in the District, promoting the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the District and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the district's objectives. Duties include Financial Resource Management including payroll, Data/Administrative Management and certain financial student data information, Human Resource management, and Facility & Property Management as needed. Education required

A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related fields are preferred, but not required.

Experience required

Business management in either a school district or the private sector, but not required.
An understanding of fund accounting or be willing to be trained on fund accounting.
Experience using finance related computer equipment and software-Skyward software preferred.

Skills required

Must be able to be trustworthy, flexible and understands a working environment with frequent interruptions, has enthusiasm, able to communicate effectively and speaks/writes clearly and articulately, and can work collaboratively with employees, peers, and supervisors.
