The current position consists of: 1st period 7th/8th grade Ag- this class introduces the Jr High students to simple wood projects along with beginning welding experience for a semester  (17 students) (2 TA's)
4 class periods of Ag Ed- Period 2 (4 students), Period 4 (6 students), Period 6 (5 students), Period 7 (5 students)- these classes have a mixture of metal shop students- beginner welders (1st year), experienced welders (2-3 years) or other students working on other metal projects, i.e. our plasma table.  
1 science class- Period 5- (17 students)- Zoology/Animal Science for the 24-25 school year.  We typically rotate sciences- next year could be food science, the following year plant science, then back to zoology/animal science.  (this is negotiable based on a candidate's comfort level and interest) 
FFA is a plus- we have not had a FFA program for the past 3 years.  It would be nice to get this program back in the district as we have many students and parents eager to revitalize it.  
Starting salary for a new teacher would be $46,616 plus an extended contract, which is typically 10% of the overall salary ($4,616).  With experience it would be more.  We are on the Idaho State Insurance plan which is the best you can get.  PERSI retirement- best retirement offering in the State. 
Secondary Agricultural Education Teacher – Idaho teaching certificate recommended, but not required.
