TITLE: KHS Activities Director
Year 2023-2024

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Idaho Teaching Certificate
Minimum Five years teaching experience
Experience with Athletic Program, IHSAA is a plus

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in planning and supervising school organizations and their activities.
Assesses and evaluates the school’s athletic program.
Administers all National Federation, Idaho High School Activities Association rules and regulations.
Recommends coaching personnel assignments.
Conducts annual coaching performance assessments and communicates the results to the principal and superintendent.
Schedules all athletic events and issues contracts.
Attends a reasonable number of athletic events.
Coordinates an accurate check system for eligibility.
Attends scheduling meetings when appropriate.
Coordinates facility use for school and non-school events.
Plans and administers the activities budget with appropriate input from coaches.
Assists the principal in planning activity award programs.
Coordinates advertising, printing, and marketing of programs for varsity contests.
Maintains an accurate check system for insurance, physical, and parent permission for participation in athletics.
Revises, reviews, and interprets the contents of the High School Athletic Handbook.
Coordinates transportation arrangements for all activities.
Coordinates contracting officials, workers, and support people for all home events.
Constantly promotes the philosophy of good sportsmanship with students, staff and patrons.
Performs other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 215 Day Extended Teaching Contract

EVALUATION: Performance of the position will be evaluated in accordance
with the provisions of the Board’s Policy on Evaluation of
Personnel
