The Classroom Teacher position is a part of a two-three person team that collaboratively plans curriculum within the core practices set by the EL Education model.Essential Functions:Individuals applying for this position must believe in high accountability and collaboration.Be comfortable with both individual as well as group decision-making.Knowledgeable in young children’s developmental milestones with the ability to foster academic and character growth while developing a cooperative crew.In all subject areas, have the understanding of the importance of integrating cross-disciplinary subjects with differentiation.In math instruction, have the understanding of the importance of taking students' ideas seriously, encouraging multiple strategies, promoting conceptual understanding through discourse, focusing on misconceptions and understanding the key structural ideas of the relevant mathematics.Candidates need to be aware there are expectations that exist outside of the regular school day and hours (Back to School Night, Family Information Nights, Student Led Conferences, Music Performances, etc.)Qualifications:Candidates must hold, or be eligible for, an Idaho K-8 Teaching Certificate and/or meet all Idaho State Department of Education standards for a Highly Qualified Teacher.It is desirable that candidates possess a deep knowledge and understanding of the Common Core State Standards for the applied grade level.Ideally, the candidate will have experience and background in Expeditionary LearningHayden Canyon Charter School may be a good fit for you, if you:1.
