REPORTS TO:
Building Administrator.
JOB GOALS:
To support the delivery of GVSD's written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement.To help students overcome problems that impede learning and to assist them in making educational, occupational, and life plans.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guides individuals and groups of students through the development of educational and career plans.
Counsels with individuals and small groups of students with problems.
Consults with ancillary personnel, teachers, staff, and parents regarding the developmental needs of students.
Education required
Official Transcript with Master’s DegreeCopy of a valid Idaho license issued by the applicable Idaho licensing body for social worker or licensed professional counselors or licensed clinical professional counselor.
Experience required
Minimum experience as determined by the Board.
Skills required
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community groups and organizations.Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Maintain confidentiality of staff and students. Knowledge of state and federal testing procedures and requirements.
