To promote academic,social, and citizenship development through leadership and classroom supervision.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInstruction1. Prepare for assigned classes2. Design lessons with an appropriate level of difficulty that provide content ina logical and sequential manner3. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media, consistent with thephysical limitations of the classroom and the needs and capabilities of theindividuals or student groups involved4. Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the timesdesignated5. Identify pupil needs and provide instruction appropriate to those needs6. Analyze and interpret student data to develop and modify instructionalactivities7. Encourage students to strive to meet their highest potential2. Establish and communicate classroom rules and encourage students to setand maintain standards of classroom behavior3. Make provision for being available to students and parents for educationrelated purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested todo so under reasonable terms4. Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with studentsand their parents concerning both the academic and behavioral progress ofall assigned students5. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students,equipment, materials, and facilitiesProfessional Contacts and Activities1. Attend and participate in faculty and committee meetings2. Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with special education teachers asneeded3. Keep immediate supervisor informed of activities and any issues that mayarise4.
